Sales Representative – Position Overview
As a Quality Solar Sales Representative in Michigan, you will be at the forefront of the solar revolution, creating and pursuing opportunities to educate homeowners and business owners about the transformative benefits of solar energy. Using specialized software, you will demonstrate customized solar layout options, functions, and benefits tailored to each customer’s needs.
We adopt a consultative approach, educating customers on the booming solar and clean energy industry. Our salespeople spend much of their time visiting prospective customers at their homes or businesses, representing Quality Solar with professionalism and enthusiasm. This role demands drive, self-motivation, a desire to help customers, confidence in the product, and a high level of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in full life cycle sales and lead generation
- Utilize online tools to develop solar system designs for customers
- Analyze customers’ current and projected electrical usage and financial ROI
- Generate project proposals and quotes for customers
- Close contracts at client homes
- Log all communications with customers in Insightly CRM contact database
Qualifications
- 2+ years of successful sales experience
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to self-generate leads
- Exceptional follow-up and customer service skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Motivation to stay on the leading edge of the industry
- High integrity and ability to put customers at ease
- Flexibility to work weekend and evening hours
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid state driver’s license, clean DMV driving record, and ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
