Solar continues to grow in the state of Michigan. According to the Solar Foundation’s National Solar Jobs Census, the solar industry in Michigan grew by 48% in 2016. Companies in this state added over 1,300 hundred solar related jobs last year. Of the 161 solar companies in Michigan, the majority are solar panel installers. Solar energy is viable in Michigan, good for both the owner of the solar system and for the local economy.
